Bayer organizes a “clinical case discussion forum”

The second edition of “Blood Talks: And in Practice?” – National exchange forum on congenital coagulopathies”.

Organized by Bayer, the initiative aims to “promote the sharing and discussion of clinical cases submitted by participants, in order to find solutions to improve the lives of people with these pathologies”.

The meeting, with a strong practical component, is aimed at all additional trainees in the specialty of Immunohemotherapy or young specialists who work with hemophilia and other congenital coagulopathies. Professionals are invited to submit clinical cases, “which will be selected by a scientific committee, with evaluation criteria such as writing, content and presentation”.

This forum will offer different moments of scientific discussion, including one with an international speaker: Dario Di Minno, who will give a presentation on the individualized approach to prophylaxis in hemophilia.

The meeting will also have the intervention of two national specialists, Cristina Catarino and Susana Nobre Fernandes, responsible for the reference centers for the treatment of hemophilia in Portugal, respectively, the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de Lisboa Norte and the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de S João.

It will also be an opportunity to discuss the clinical cases presented on hemophilia A and B or other congenital coagulopathies. Among these works, the two best will be selected and distinguished, with the award of the “Blood Talks 2022 best clinical case award”, worth €1,500.00, and the “Young researcher award”, d worth €1,000.00.
