PewDiePie’s nearly 10-year dominance has come to an end, with MrBeast’s channel, known for its award-winning videos and charity work, hitting 112 million subscribers.

mrbeast ended the reign of PewDiePie as the YouTuber with the most subscribers in the world – the first change to the top of the list in almost 10 years.
Swedish content creator PewDiePiewhose real name is Felix KjellbergHas become the YouTuber with more subscribers in August 2013 with his game reaction videos.
In 2019, he was the first person to attract 100 million followers.
But MrBeast’s philanthropy, actually called Jimmy Donaldsonmade him reach the number of 112 million subscribers this month.
Although YouTube doesn’t show exact numbers, it topped PewDiePie’s 111 million.
MrBeast is known for his videos featuring generous giveaways and cash prizes, as well as his charity work.
In 2021, he launched a separate channel on Youtube, focused on philanthropy, which already has more than 10 million subscribers. He even runs a charity that doubles as a food bank to distribute food to communities across the United States.
He and his colleague, fellow youtuber Mark Rober, have organized international fundraising projects such as TeamSeas and TeamTrees, which focus on environmental issues. The latest has raised more than 24 million US dollars (130 million reais) to plant 20 million trees worldwide.

British YouTuber Steven Bridges, whose videos have millions of views on the platform, told the BBC that MrBeast had “mastered the skill” of creating compelling content.
“There’s probably no other YouTuber in the world who understands this as well as MrBeast,” he said.
“Making an entertaining video is one thing, but ensuring that every second keeps the viewer fully engaged is very difficult to achieve, and retention of mrbeast – the average percentage of the video that the viewer watches – and the number of views speak for themselves.”
“Really, the mrbeast plays the game of making the funniest videos that appeal to the most people, and he consistently succeeds.”
“I don’t think there are any YouTubers who are surprised that mrbeast won first place,” says Bridges.
T-series
Although neither has commented on the milestone, PewDiePie has previously said he thinks mrbeast would “definitely” exceed it.
“I can’t wait for this to end,” he joked in an August 2022 video. “He really deserves it. Hope he makes it.”
and although mrbeast became the most subscribed individual user on YouTube, he is far from having the largest channel in the Youtube??
T-Series, an Indian music video publisher, is the leader in this category, with more than 200 million subscribers.
Despite their apparent rivalry for the crown of YoutubeMrBeast publicly supported PewDiePie when his music video channel rose to prominence.
In 2018, PewDiePie had the largest chain in the Youtubehe entered, in good spirits, into a “squabble” with rival T-Series for first place.
MrBeast was the first prominent YouTuber to make videos in support of PewDiePiebuying radio ads and billboards in North Carolina and encouraging people to subscribe to them.
During a year, PewDiePie he eventually lost the channel’s No. 1 spot to T-Series, though he jumped from around 60 million to 90 million subscribers, making his lead as top YouTuber seemingly unshakeable.
This turned out not to be the case.
