After the dismissal of Steven Gerrard from the technical command of Aston Villa, the name of Rúben Amorim returns insistently to replace the former Liverpool midfielder. It turns out that English newspaper ‘The Telegraph’ claims that the Leonine coach’s termination clause will now be €10m, down from the €30m agreed when he renewed his contract in March 2021.
According to the Record newspaper, the information is false, and the termination clause of the green and white coach remains unchanged: 30 million euros.
Amorim has no intention of leaving Sporting, a club with which he has a contract until 2024. Despite the troubled season, the 37-year-old Portuguese coach believes there is strength to reverse the start less positive of the National Championship, and it is certain that he will remain, at least until the end of the season.
