Canadian studios Ironwood Studios, recently presented their work Pacific Drive.

It is a survival game in which the player can only rely on himself and his car. Come see more…

Ironwood Studios recently revealed the project they are currently working on, Pacific Drive.

Ironwood Studios was formed in 2019 and is made up of highly experienced gaming folks from studios including Sucker Punch Productions, Insomniac Games, Irrational, Klei, 343, Bungie, Activision, and Oculus.

Pacific Drive is a survival game that mixes driving elements with spectacular escapes and players drive their cars like crazy to escape a set of inexplicable anomalies. Most of the game will take place behind the wheel of our vehicle.

In fact, the players' car is the main protagonist of Pacific Drive, being the faithful companion responsible for our survival, or not.

In Pacific Drive, our base of operations is an abandoned garage, in which we can work our vehicle at our leisure. Whether it's making the necessary repairs so you can transport us safely, or making upgrades that give it more and more capabilities, or simply customizing it.

What happens outside (in the Zone), which has not been fully disclosed, is dangerous and therefore our car must be properly equipped for our small forays into the Zone.

The action of Pacific Drive takes place on the west coast of the United States, so the main environment that we will see in the game are the dense forests of this part of the country. And it is precisely in these forests that we will have mysterious encounters with suddenly appearing anomalies and find out what is really going on.

A final word on the fact that the soundtrack was written by Wilbert Roget, II, along with tracks from local bands in the Northwest region.

"We're big fans of the weirdest science in the world and we're fans of stories about road trips and the like. In this way, we always feel intrigued and interested in the mysterious worlds of games like STALKER or books like Annihilation. In Pacific Drive, we have the opportunity to combine these passions that are ours by creating an adventure in the heart of the American Northwest that mixes science fiction, adventure and mystery." says Alex Dracott, founder of Ironwood Studios.

"The Ironwood team has worked with passion to turn these ideas into the best game possible. After 3 years of work, super excited to share Pacific Drive and super excited to work with Playstation on this.

Pacific Drive will be released in 2023 on PC and Playstation 5.
