Peru issues epidemiological alert to rising dengue fever cases – Politics – RTP Madeira

The alert targets public and private health establishments “in the face of the increase in cases and the occurrence of dengue fever epidemics in the country”.

So far, 58,117 cases have been recorded, a number well above the 30,873 cases last year, which had caused 28 deaths.

According to official information, 87.53% of cases correspond to dengue fever without warning signs, 12.14% to dengue fever with warning signs and 0.33% to severe dengue fever, with a national fatality rate of 0, 13%.

This is the second dengue epidemiological alert launched this year after that of last April.
