Rui Moreira was caustic when faced with questions from the Sport TV journalist in Taremi’s flash interview after FC Porto’s draw at Estoril (1-1). The Porto mayor didn’t appreciate the question about the Iranian’s simulation against Atlético Madrid and called the journalist ‘a perfect fool’.
“An abject provocation in the flash interview of the Sport TV pseudo-reporter. He decided to ask Taremi about the expulsion that took place in Madrid. A shame, a disgust, instead of talking about the Amoreira match , where Taremi scored a goal, the journalist decided to provoke an exhausted player who may have gone too far. And that’s what the journalist wanted… to be a hero. As Taremi is a gentleman, the journalist stayed and finished, like a complete jerk. There will be no consequences. I just hope that every time this lady asks a question of any player – whatever their club – he will ask him back if he knows what a flash interview is,” reads a post on the High Council of Dragons’ personal Facebook.
Faced with the question about the simulation that dictated the second yellow card in the Champions League, against At. Madrid, the Iranian striker left no room for doubt. “My left foot was on Witsel’s foot. It’s not a simulation. There was contact,” he told journalist Tiago Peres Costa.
