The Secretary of State for Youth and Sports revealed on Monday that the government is preparing to review the legal framework of sports companies (SAD), in the name of transparency in Portuguese sport.
“We want anyone who wants to invest in a sports business to have to present an investment project and to have to say where the capital is coming from. It is a response in the fight against economic and tax crimes,” said João Paulo Correia, who was present at the opening session of SIGA Sport Integrity Week.
“We will also institute a fitness regime for those who want to have qualified participation in sports societies, so that those who still seek to engage in illegal activities and do not contribute in any way to the promotion of sport through sport, “added the official.
