The actor Marc-André Grondin plays the role of the spy IXE-13 in a series inspired by the novels of Pierre Saurel which was already adapted to the cinema by Jacques Godbout 50 years ago. Filming has just started, Club Illico and Sphère Média announced on Thursday.

The series will immerse viewers “in a labyrinthine operation, full of lies, manipulation, betrayal and secrets”, details the communication released by the broadcaster and the producer.

The action will take place shortly after the end of the Second World War. IXE-13, code name of agent Jean Thibault (Marc-André Grondin) will resume service to counter the double threat: that of the Russians who are looking for uranium to create a bomb and that of a Nazi group seeking the same to conquer the world.

In addition to Marc-André Grondin, the series produced by Yan Lanouette Turgeon (One way ticket, epidemic) will star Julie LeBreton, Vincent Leclerc and Hugolin Chevrette.

The broadcast date for this new incarnation of the adventures of Agent IXE-13 has not been specified by Club Illico, but it will be present in 2023.
