Serbian Aleksandar Mitrovic was the hero of Fulham’s London derby triumph over Brentford (3-2). After scoring the winning goal in the 90th minute, the the owners praised coach Marco Silva.
“The coach [Marco Silva] changed the club, the way we play and our way of believing. We never give up. Today we deserve the three points. We are happy to have got the first three points and to still be unbeaten.”
Mitrovic highlighted the “incredible feeling” of starting the triumph at the final whistle, but regretted the goals he himself wasted, largely due to the display of the opposing goalkeeper.
“He [David Raya] made my life difficult today. I missed a lot of chances and had a lot of ups and downs, but I never gave up. I stayed calm and kept believing.
