THE BALL – Left Benfica and is now a reinforcement for SC Braga (Futsal)

After five seasons at Benfica, Robinho was announced on Tuesday with the reinforcement of SC Braga for 2022/2023.

The 39-year-old winger, who ended his association with the Reds last season – he played 206 games and scored 93 goals with an eagle on his chest – was enthusiastic about the new challenge.

“When I received the invitation, I did not hesitate. I spoke to my family and saw that it was a project that I had to embrace, a new challenge for my career,” said the ambitious Russian international: “I always wanted to win titles and I I’ll never give that up. Here it will be no different and I hope to contribute to the achievement of something within the club.

This is Robinho’s sixth career challenge, after Banespa (Brazil), Charleroi (Belgium), Gazprom-Ugra and Dínamo Moscow (Russia) and Benfica, and will mark the futsalist’s reunion with coach Joel Rocha, who guided him in the eagles: “I have a very good relationship with Joel Rocha. From the first day, he is a very open person. Moreover, he is a very competent professional and we know that together we can do a lot.
