Robert Lewandowski (ex-Bayern) admitted to having been impressed by the number of supporters who attended his official presentation as a Barcelona player this Friday. The goalscorer promised he would try to score goals to help the team win titles.
“I’m very proud to be a Barcelona player. It took a long time but in the end I’m here. My happiness is huge and I’m sure I’ll score a lot of goals at this stadium. We’re going to win many titles and I hope for your support. It’s amazing to see so many fans in this stadium. It’s very special for me. I believe that every game at the Camp Nou will be magical. I hope we can win titles.” said the Polish striker.
President Joan Laporta thanked Lewandowski for his patience in coming to the Spanish club: “Thank you for the great effort you made to come here. Thank you all for being here. It was not easy and this operation took place because he wanted to play for Barça. I also leave a special thank you to his representative Pini Zahivi for the effort to bring him here, his brother. Also to Mateu Alemany, for negotiating with such an important club in Europe.
