95 diesel and gasoline prices drop this week. Know how much you will pay to certify

Written by admin

July continues the “positive” trend of lower fuel prices and this week more good news is coming: the trend is down for 95 petrol and diesel, with particular emphasis on the former – according to an industry source contacted by Multinews, in the national newspaper oil companies, the price of gasoline 95 will fall by 5 cents, while diesel will fall by 0.5 cents.

The trend is also replicated at private label petrol stations – which normally operate alongside hypermarkets – and they report “a drop of 0.0489 euro for petrol and 0.0029 euro for diesel “said another source.

Since the beginning of the year, this is the ninth drop in gasoline prices, despite 19 weeks of increases already recorded. As for diesel, it has experienced its tenth decline since January, “contradicted” however by the 17 increases in 2022.

During this period, the price of diesel increased by 32 cents per litre, while the price of gasoline was 37 cents more expensive. This means that filling a 60 liter tank of diesel next week will cost 19.2 euros more than in January. To refuel, it takes 22.2 euros more than the first week of the year.

However, with the announced reduction, a 60 liter tank of simple 95 petrol will now be 3 euros cheaper than the previous week, while in the diesel version it will mean a discount of 30 cents.

The latest fuel bulletin from the European Commission indicates that Portugal has the 12th most expensive gasoline 95 of the 27 countries of the European Union. Diesel occupies the 18th position in the European ranking. According to official data from Directorate General of Energy and Geology (DGEG), disclosed on its page, the average price of simple gasoline 95 is currently 2,009 euros per litre. A liter of diesel is worth 1,909 euros.

The government has renewed measures to mitigate the rise in fuel prices for July and August.
