The 19 solutions and their teams the contest of the 7th edition of the IoT Challenge made themselves known on May 24, during a session via Teams moderated by Olga Gouveia, from the IoT Product Management area of Altice Empresas, who took advantage of the meeting to welcome all the participants and share the rules and the competition dynamics.
From now on, the selected solutions will have the opportunity to take advantage of Altice Empresas’ IoT Connect service, as well as Altice’s spaces and expertise in the golabs.5G and golabs.IoT laboratories, as explained by Luís Lamela, from engineering department of Altice Portugal. “We have specialized people who will give you all the support you need. Count on us to talk, plan tests together, and that way we can reach October with successful projects,” he said.
André Luz, creator of the Infinite Foundry project and one of the winners of the IoT Challenge 2020, was also present at the event, having left his testimonial about the competition saying that “the competition was very important because we became partners of Altice, we worked with the technical teams and our own technology has evolved, today, our solution is much more competitive on the market”, he specifies.And he advised: “Take advantage of these months to mature your solution and ask Altice professionals for help, to reach October and your solution already has a high degree of maturity,” he said.
Inês Ferreira, IoT Product Manager at Altice Empresas, closed the meeting, taking the opportunity to wish good luck to the teams who, during the meeting, presented “very innovative, interesting and varied” solutions.
The three solutions that surprise the jury the most in a combination of applicability and maturity, innovation and attractiveness of the business model will be the winners on October 12, during an event that should be held in person. And the respective teams will be rewarded with 5G equipment from Samsung and with the possibility of having their solutions integrated into the portfolio of Products and Services of Altice Empresas.
