The most powerful solar flare recorded since 2017

THE NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory observed the strongest solar flare since 2017, with the space agency noting that the solar flare affected some communication systems in Asia.

The solar flare received the X2.2 rating, thus reaching the X category which is currently the highest measured by scientists. In the second week of September 2017, a solar flare was recorded with the X9 classification, the strongest ever being an X28 in 2003.
