THE BALL – “I always told Darwin that he is an animal” (Benfica)

Juan Manuel Boselli has been one of Tondela’s highlights this season. After scoring against Mafra and helping Beira reach the first Portuguese Cup final, the Uruguayan turned to Sports Radio 890 and makes a very positive assessment of the time.

“I don’t think in my wildest dreams I thought it would go so well. This is my first season in Portugal. I scored goals and Tondela reached the first Portuguese Cup final in history, that’s very good,” he explained, praising the club: “It’s a small city, with a very organized club that has been in the League for seven consecutive years”.

Selected at international level by Uruguay’s youth teams, Boselli was a colleague of Darwin Núñez, a Benfica striker who is the league’s top scorer, to whom the 22-year-old left plenty of praise:

“I’m very friendly with him and I’ve always told him he’s an animal. What you’re doing is impressive. It’s evolved a lot since we were teammates. It’s brutal and I think Uruguay in will benefit a lot,” he concluded.
