Marítimo and Famalicão ensured, this Monday, the qualification for the Revelation Cup, where they will measure the forces with the six clubs already qualified and which, at that time, are competing for the decisive phase of the Revelation League: Estoril (which has already won the title), Benfica, Leixões, Rio Ave, Portimonense and SC Braga.
To be able to join this batch of qualified for the final phase of the Revelation Cup, Marítimo and Famalicão won the respective matches they had on the program this Monday, relating to the 14th and last round of the qualifying round. The islanders, already with the ticket practically stamped, received and won V. Guimarães (3-1), while the Famalicences had to suffer a lot to guarantee the same desire. The Minho team depended only on itself, being forced to beat Vizela, but the truth is that the emblem of Vizela had a two-goal advantage, which in addition to the triumph of Belenenses SAD over Sporting (3-0), would automatically leave Famalicão out. of the race, to the detriment of the Lisbon Blues. However, following a sensational turnaround, the Vila Nova de Famalicão team managed to claim the triumph (3-2) and thus joined Marítimo in embarking on the Revelation Cup.
The next stage of this competition, it should be added, will have three phases: a group stage (with the eight clubs divided into two groups of four and where they compete in a single round); a tie called semi-finals (where the two best teams from each of the two groups will be present and who will play these semi-finals back and forth); and finally, of course, the final of this Revelation Cup.
The test final is scheduled for May 15.
