From the start of the draw for the group stage of the 2022 World Cup, Qatar presented themselves as the official mascot of the tournament: La’eeb.
The name in Arabic means “very gifted player”, according to FIFA. World football’s governing body added that the mascot encourages everyone to believe in themselves.
