Fábio Carvalho is going through a great moment in his still short career. The 19-year-old midfielder made his debut for the Portugal U21 national team against Iceland and scored yesterday, Tuesday, in a 4-0 win in Greece, also counting for Group D to qualify for the 2023 European Championship.
The player was popular with Fulham, an English second-tier club managed by Marco Silva, where he scored eight goals and six assists in 29 games. The excellent performances sparked greed from Liverpool and the decision did not materialize in January due to a delay in the process. The English press, however, assures that Fábio will not escape the “reds” next season.
In Spain, the information has not gone unnoticed, the newspaper “As” mentioning that the English club has beaten Real Madrid, another club associated with the now young Portuguese international.
“We’ll see. Obviously we’re still interested, it would be crazy if we weren’t. It’s out of our hands. The process was delayed and didn’t work out until the market closed in February.
Fábio Carvalho moved to England in 2013, after three years at Benfica. In 2015, he joined Fulham and is currently representing the main team, under manager Marco Silva, for the second consecutive season.
