THE BALL – The French midfielder will have warned Mourinho that he will not play without renewing (Italy)

Jordan Veretout’s cycle at Roma is coming to an end, after an alleged meeting with José Mourinho, during which the French midfielder informed the coach that he would not play without renewing his contract.

According to Corriere dello Sport, his former manager, Mario Giuffredi, had reached an agreement with Roma (the current contract ends in 2024) and the player would receive 3.5 million per season. However, the France international decided to change the financial terms and demanded six million euros per season, which caused the deal to fall and even led to the aforementioned agent suing the midfielder.

Roma will now be ready to sell their pass for values in the region of 10 million euros.
