THE BALL – After introducing Luís Castro, Botafogo begins the changes (Brazil)

The day after Luís Castro was presented as the new coach, Botafogo’s management started tidying up the house. According to Globoesporte, at least five players have already received the indication that they won’t be part of the squad for the new season.

Vítor Marinho (right-back), Ewerton (central defender), Fabinho, Felipe Ferreira (midfielders) and striker Ronald are the players in question. All have a contract, but have already received the indication to find a new club or will be integrated into the newly created B team.

Globoesporte point out, however, that the list will grow in the coming days as several new players are expected to arrive and Luís Castro has publicly speculated that he intends to work with a maximum of 30.

The changes don’t just affect the players, the same source reveals, explaining that two permanent members of the technical staff, assistant Lucio Flavio and goalkeeping coach Flavio Tenius, will no longer work with the main team.
