FC Porto striker misses game against Lebanon after being assessed by Iranian doctors
Mehdi Taremi visited Iran yesterday, as disk realized this Monday, but is already looking for a return flight to Portugal which, as we have seen, should take place in the next few hours. The Iranian press said that the communication director of this team reported today that due to the Covid-19 and after being evaluated by the medical team, the FC Porto striker is not ready to face Lebanon, in tomorrow’s duel, referring to the last Group A trip from Asian qualification to the 2022 World Cup. Recall that Iran has already stamped its passport for the event at the end of this year, in Qatar. Taremi also used the trip to speak with coach Dragan Skocic. However, the striker will not arrive in time to join FC Porto training this afternoon.
It is recalled that the Dragons striker tested positive for Covid-19 last Sunday, the day of the derby with Boavista, after receiving this result while he was in Bessa’s locker room. He was quickly placed in home isolation and, for this reason, he missed the game against South Korea.
