La Liga emblem SABSEG defeated the “lions”, in a training session in which Rúben Amorim split the group in two.
Vilafranquense beat Sporting this Saturday, 2-1, in a preparation match organized at the Academia de Alcochete. Fati and Bizet scored the goals for La Liga club SABSEG, while Nuno Santos netted for the greens and whites.
Rúben Amorim, coach of the Leonine emblem, “divided the group in two, with some players playing against the II Liga team and others working in the gym”, read an official statement from Sporting.
While Pedro Porro continues to undergo treatment, “João Virgínia, André Paulo, Matheus Reis, João Palhinha, Bruno Tabata, Nuno Santos – scorer of the green and white goal -, Luís Neto, Rúben Vinagre, Pedro Gonçalves, Ricardo Esgaio, Daniel Bragança and Vando Félix went to the match”, while “Marcus Edwards, Paulinho, Zouhair Feddal and Antonio Adán trained in the gym”, explains the club.
The Sporting workforce, without many internationals due to the commitments of the respective teams, will now benefit from two days off, to return to work on Tuesday afternoon at the Academy.
