João Marques: ‘We can expect a team that really wants to win’

João Marques has promised a Sp. Braga wants “a lot” to win the League Cup final with Benfica, the only trophy the Minhotas are missing.

“We can expect a team that really wants to win. The players have worked hard to get here and they want to win the only cup the club doesn’t have yet. [no futebol feminino]. They want, more than anyone, to bring the cup to Braga,” the Sp. Braga coach told club media after training at the Marcolino Castro stadium in Santa Maria da Feira, where the match will take place.

The two sides have faced each other before this season, with Braga beating at home in the Portuguese Cup Round of 16, 4-0, and losing at home to the Eagles, 1-0, for the league. “All the matches are different. We will find a quality opponent, both individually and collectively. We are prepared for the difficulties, our ambition and our desire are very great”, reinforced João Marques.
