AD Valongo played in the great sensation of the 22nd day of the National Roller Hockey Championship by beating leaders FC Porto by 4-0, at the municipal pavilion of the city.
Rafael Moreira (17m) gave the home side the lead in the first half. Facundo Navarro (45m), Diogo Barata (47m) and Facundo Bridge (49m) scored the last goals for the team coached by Edo Bosch.
Bernardo Mendes, the goalkeeper of AD Valongo, stood out with several important interventions, in particular by defending a penalty taken by Gonçalo Alves.
Despite the surprising defeat, Ricardo Ares’s FC Porto, who missed out for the first time this season, continue to lead the national championship, with a three-point lead over Óquei Barcelos, who have one game less.
