Christian Eriksen completed his first training session with the Danish national team on Thursday after suffering cardiac arrest on the pitch nine months ago in a match against Finland , at Euro-2020.
“I’m very happy to be here. It’s great to be back. I was lucky to get the necessary medical treatment quickly. Now everything is in order and I’m ready to play for Denmark. I wish everything is back to normal as soon as possible. If I wasn’t sure there was no danger I wouldn’t be here,” the midfielder said, speaking to Sky Sports.
Eriksen, 30, returned to competition in February, scoring three games for Brentford, the club he signed for after breaking away from Inter Milan. The Danish team is in Marbella (Spain) to prepare for the friendly matches against the Netherlands (this Saturday) and Serbia (day 29).
