Sad news in the Benfica universe. Guilherme, a young man who suffered from an oncological disease and who received a shirt from Gonçalo Ramos at the end of the match against Ajax, has died.
Guilherme was 16, lived in Belgium and was battling this damn disease. At the end of February, he fulfilled his dream of returning to the Estádio da Luz to watch a Benfica match, a few days before also seeing the match live with Ajax, in the second leg of the League’s Round of 16 champions. There he received a shirt from Gonçalo Ramos.
Gonçalo Ramos has already reacted to the news on his official Instagram account, sharing a story with the particular moment experienced by Guilherme.
“Rest in peace, Guilherme,” wrote the Under-21 international.
