André Onana, Ajax goalkeeper, was involved in a serious accident in Cameroon.
The car in which the guard was following had a head-on collision with another car in the region of Douala, the largest city in this African country.
Despite the damage caused to the vehicles, the local press claims that the goalkeeper is fine and has already joined his teammates. According to the camfoot site, another occupant of Onana’s vehicle was injured.
André Onana, it will be recalled, defended the goal for Ajax in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16, after being heavily criticized for the action in Darwin’s goal which dictated the elimination of the competition for the Netherlands team.
