Huawei does not have Google Play Services. Let’s eliminate that point, because we already know the rules of the game and life exists beyond Google. Precisely, the Huawei Nova 9 SE offers us very interesting arguments to better live this technological life, with very solid bets on photography and autonomy.
The first Huawei with 108MP camera
Huawei has a very big name when it comes to photographic quality and whatever reservations they may have: the Huawei continues to be consistently the best piece of equipment in DXOMark’s tests. And despite this, Huawei has not participated in the pixel race, which is why the Nova 9 SE is its first device with a 108MP sensor whose advantages are enormous in terms of capturing images in low light conditions. , where pixel-binning allows you to combine information from adjacent pixels to take advantage of more light and detail. To support this high-resolution sensor, Huawei includes a Super Night mode that merges multiple frames for higher dynamic range and a more expressive end result.
The rest of the photographic department is typical of the mid-range, with an 8MP ultra-wide angle and two 2MP sensors, one for depth and the other for macro, while the front camera offers 16MP. Huawei tells us that we can use this camera with the 108MP one for our unpacking, which is a nice way to remember that the Nova are, even today, smartphones strongly oriented towards young people, streamers and avid social media.
Fast charging, processor with good legs
The Huawei Nova 9 SE arrives equipped with the Snapdragon 680, an efficient octa-core processor that stands out for a good relationship between performance and energy consumption. In this latest chapter, Nova hasn’t left aside the current fast-charging trend, offering 66W of charging for its 400mAh battery, with the motto “0-100 in 40 minutes” indicating its skills (or the acceleration of a Yugo). The processor is then accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
As for the screen, I’m afraid a 6.78-inch FHD LCD unit with a 90Hz refresh rate with the front camera in a small hole-punch.
An affordable smartphone (even more so than you might think)
Available with HarmonyOS 2.0, the Huawei Nova 9 SE has an RRP of €359, which is perfectly in line with a device of its capabilities, but to make the deal even more attractive, if we book it today with a deposit of € 10, collection in store on April 8, effective launch date, we benefit from a discount of € 50.
With that, the actual price drops to €309 and you even get a deal for the TWS earbuds, which isn’t bad for a cool, canon-designed smartphone.
