Portuguese League – V. Guimarães-Sporting (March 19, 8:30 p.m.)
The Dom Afonso Henriques stadium has always been and will continue to be a difficult ground for any team that plays there. This V. Guimarães-Sporting will therefore be a high-risk match for the lions, forbidden to lose more points in the fight for the title. Rúben Amorim’s side enter the pitch as heavy favourites, with odds of 1.59 attributed to the visitors’ victory, but although on the other side are a Guimarães side who are far from dazzling, it must be said that V. Guimarães enters this match after two consecutive triumphs, which seems to indicate a sort of recovery. The victory of Pepa’s men is paid 5.35 and the draw valued at 3.87. Can the castle resist the attack of the lion?
La Liga – Real-Barcelona (March 20, 8 p.m.)
A great Spanish classic, an always desirable and unpredictable Real Madrid-Barcelona, one of the most exciting matches in the world. Even so, the odds balance may be odd – Real’s triumph is 2.11, Barcelona’s is 2.96 and a draw is 3.43) given the punctual gap between the two teams (15 points, favorable to the Merengues) in the standings, but it is important to warn the less attentive that if Real Madrid enters the field in a sequence of five consecutive victories (including the extraordinary evening with PSG …), the Barcelona de Xavi haven’t lost in 11 games. Maybe this way the precautions can be understood a bit better…
French Championship – Monaco-PSG (March 20, 12 p.m.)
If there were any doubts, one would only need to rewatch Thursday’s game against SC Braga to understand why, despite playing at home, Monaco’s win comes at odds of 3.40. In addition to the bad moment (a victory in the last eight games), the Monegasques face nothing less than PSG, more than likely champions of France, a team with Neymar, Mbappé, Messi… particularly troubled, the truth is that he responded to Madrid’s nightmare in the Champions League with a clear victory at home against Bordeaux (3-0). They are therefore clearly favorites during this trip to the Principality of Monaco, where the victory of PSG brings in 1.86. The tie is 3.68. For those who like to risk surprises, it may not be bad…
Portuguese League – Boavista-FC Porto (March 20, 8:45 p.m.)
As we always say, derby is derby and derby is unpredictable. There are still some who are more unpredictable than others and that of Invicta, given the differences between Boavista and FC Porto, will be more unbalanced than usual. A clear favoritism vis-à-vis the visitors: the victory of the dragon is worth 1.39. Normal, if we take into account that we are talking about an almost unstoppable team in the league, a competition in which they have not lost this season. The triumph of the panther – which has recorded only one triumph in the last 12 games… – is paid 7.10. But there is a curious fact: in these same 12 meetings, Boavista lost only once. So that’s 10 (!!) ties. Result which in this always exciting derby in the city of Porto is paid 4.68.
Portuguese League – Benfica-Estoril (March 20, 6 p.m.)
Gone are the days when Estoril played a leading role in the Portuguese League. With only two wins in the last 13 games, the Canaries are falling in the standings, even if they still occupy an honorable seventh place. Be that as it may, the victory of Benfica, who plays at home, is worth 1.31, which clearly shows the gaze of experts and bettors on the reds, who in addition enter the field motivated by the extraordinary triumph in Amsterdam which placed Benfica among the eight best teams in Europe. The Estádio da Luz, it is believed, will be bubbling with enthusiasm, which will make Estoril’s task even more difficult. Perhaps because of all this, the visitors’ triumph pays 8.45 and a draw 5.25.
La Liga – Sevilla-Real Sociedad (March 20, 5:30 p.m.)
Sevilla, vice-champion of La Liga, enters the field as favorites in this reception at Real Sociedad (6th): the victory of the team led by Lopetegui is worth 1.97 and it is logical that this is the case, in seen from the classification. Things may not be so linear, however, if you take into account that the Andalusian side have only won two in the last five games and the Basques, on the other hand, have only lost. one in the last five matches – nothing more and nothing less than against leaders Real Madrid. Maybe that’s why the win for Real Sociedad still nets 3.60 and the draw 3.15.
