Due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus, the advice of the Municipal Department of Health, through the Undersecretary of Basic Care, Surveillance and Health Promotion of Campos (Subpav), asks the population to be extra careful in autumn and winter, because people with respiratory problems are considered to be at risk for Covid-19.

The health secretary’s director of primary care, infectious disease physician Rodrigo Carneiro, advises avoiding closed environments and places with crowds of people. “Eating healthy, sleeping well, for about 8 hours, and practicing physical activity also help strengthen the immune system against the virus,” explained the doctor, noting that many diseases are preventable by vaccination, hence the importance of keeping the vaccination record up to date. to date, especially for children.

“In recent years, we have seen the return of diseases, such as measles, which are vaccine-preventable, that is, they can be prevented through vaccination,” Rodrigo Carneiro said. The doctor also warns of the importance of vaccination against influenza, announced by the Ministry of Health to begin on April 4. “Many don’t take the vaccine claiming that they catch the flu after vaccination.
