The medieval universe of A Plague Tale will be adapted into a television series • Eurogamer.pt

A Plague Tale: Innocence joins the growing list of franchises in the video game world that are getting a television adaptation.

The game centers on the story of Amicia de Rune and her brother Hugo who, during the Hundred Years War in France, must escape the soldiers of the Inquisition but also a plague of rats infected with the plague. The game has been awarded the Eurogamer Recommended seal – full review here.

French director Mathieu Turi (who worked as assistant director on Quentin Tarantino’s Sacanas Sem Lei) has now confirmed that he will be involved in the series. Using his Twitter account, Turi revealed, “It’s official! I’m honored to be working on adapting A Plague Tale into a TV series. Thanks to Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment for your continued support. I look forward to bring Amicia and Hugo travels to the screen!”

Nothing more has been revealed about the A Plague Tale series, neither at the release level nor at the casting level. As for A Plague Tale: Requiem, the sequel to the first game, it should arrive at the end of 2022.
