According to the bulletin, of the 27 capitals, only São Luís, in Maranhão, is part of the health macro-region at the pre-epidemic level; Belém, Macapá and Palmas are in macro-regions at an epidemic level.
Besides Florianópolis, 20 other capitals are at a high level in this ranking, such as Belo Horizonte and Brasilia. No capital is at an extremely high level.
In a state cup, three of Brazil’s 26 states, plus the Federal District, show signs of growth in the past six weeks. All others show signs of long-term decline. However, Ceará, Maranhão, Sergipe and Tocantins only show signs of growth in the short-term trend, over the past 3 weeks.
In all the states that show signs of growth, the data by age group suggests that the growth scenario is limited to the child population. In the adult population, there is a decline or stability in recorded cases.
Map of macro-regions
No Brazilian state has health macro-regions at a level considered extremely high. The analysis was carried out between February 6 and March 12, 2022. See map:
Laboratory data show an increase in cases associated with RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) in the age group of 0 to 4 years and an interruption of the decline in cases associated with Covid-19, in the age group of 5 at the age of 11.
RSV is a pneumovirus and one of the main agents of acute respiratory infection. It usually causes acute bronchiolitis and pneumonia, especially in premature babies, during the first year of life.
Within the adult population, there is a gradual deceleration in the rate of fall of SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome), indicating a stability of the cases of contamination, with the exception of the population of people over 70 who still show a decrease.
