The trailer revealed yesterday for Hogwarts Legacy – which you can see below – showed off a number of aspects of the long-awaited game, from graphics, combat, activities, story, mechanics, among lots of other information.
During a potions-focused section of yesterday’s trailer, you can see timers next to some potion brewing stations. This led players to speculate that the game might have microtransactions to reduce those wait times, a very common practice in mobile games. Knowing that this same technique was applied in the mobile game Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, the apprehension of the fans is not without foundation.
However, Chandler Wood, Avalanche’s community manager, confirmed that there are no microtransactions in Hogwarts Legacy. Using his Twitter account, he said, “We often see this question pop up and want to clear things up. There are no microtransactions in Hogwarts Legacy.”
We have seen this question arise and we want to set the record straight.
There are no microtransactions in Hogwarts Legacy.
