Brasilândia continues with a high rate of infestation by the Aedes aegypti mosquito – Perfil News

The Endemic Center of Brasilândia remains on alert. According to the Aedes Aegypti Infestation Index Survey (LIRAa), the municipality has 5.0 and the number recommended by the Ministry of Health is 1.0.

As a result, the city is still at HIGH RISK of infestation by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, which transmits Dengue, Chikungunha and Zika.

The survey was conducted between March 7 and March 11.

In an effort to reduce that number, the city’s health department, together with a cleaning team hired by the city, launched the city’s neighborhood cleaning task force last week.

The team has already passed through the neighborhoods of Jardim Brasília, Mão Amiga, Camargo and should already start at Primavera and Thomaz de Almeida.

The Municipal Health Service asks for the cooperation of the entire population to check the places and containers that can accumulate stagnant water.

In addition, also collaborate so that the cleaning team can carry out the work, facilitating the disposal of objects and materials.
