The war in Ukraine, caused by an invasion by Russia, continues to claim new victims every day, among them children who are experiencing difficulties on different levels – they need a place to rest, clothes to withstand the cold and food so as not to suffer from malnutrition.
Bandai Namco could not remain indifferent to the situation and announced that it would donate 100 million yen to help children in the country – the equivalent of 780 thousand euros.
“Bandai Namco has decided to donate 100 million yen to Save the Children to support its humanitarian cause for people affected by the crisis in Ukraine and seeking refuge outside the country.”
Other companies helping Ukraine are Pokemon Companywho donated 200 thousand dollars, and the 11-bit studioswho promised to send all revenue from the game This War of Mine, accumulated over seven days, to the Ukrainian Red Cross.
At the same time, and following the sanctions of the European Union, several important companies of the video game industry ceased their activities in Russia, namely PlayStation, Microsoft, Nintendo and CD Projekt.
