Telegram gets new update, adds download manager, live streaming feature

The encrypted messaging app Telegram has added a new media download manager, a revamped attachments menu, a semi-transparent interface on Android, and more.

Download Manager is new to Telegram and can be accessed from a logo in the search bar that appears when you download something. In this area we would see all downloads in one place.

Telegram users will also benefit from a new menu that will allow them to easily select and send multiple files. The company has also completely revamped the attachments menu on iOS. The Updated Files tab will now display recently uploaded files and allow users to search for them by name.

Additionally, the company announced that with this update, users will be able to broadcast from streaming tools such as OBS Studio and XSplit Broadcaster and easily add overlays and multi-screen layouts.

Regarding this new night mode, Telegram indicates that the interface on Android in night mode is now semi-transparent.
