Study suggests Sars-CoV-2 may affect male genitals

Written by admin

CNN Brasil revealed that a series of tests carried out on monkeys infected with the coronavirus showed that SARS-CoV-2 has consequences on the male genital organ.

Convinced they could find traces of the virus in the animals’ lungs and noses, the scientists were surprised by the CAT results. The group of American researchers, from Northwestern University, suggests that COVID-19 can reach and compromise the prostate, testicles and penis.

Scientists fear the same thing is happening in humans. In the same study, which has not yet been peer-reviewed, they also admit that symptoms such as erectile dysfunction, reported by some COVID patients, may be caused directly by the virus.

It is recalled that an American individual reported on the “How to Do It” podcast that his penis had shrunk by about 3.8 centimeters, due to vascular damage he had suffered after contracting the virus. The man is now suffering from erectile dysfunction.
