AMD will have new graphics cards! – Much has been said about a “refresh” of the AMD Radeon RX 6000 line of graphics cards in 2022. Some rumors pointing to a real gamble, while others claim it’s just a bet for “the English to see”.
Well, according to new information, AMD will release at least 3 new graphics cards in the form of RX 6950 XT (to compete with the RTX 3090 Ti), RX 6750 XT (rival of the Intel Arc A700), and still a RX 6650 XTfor the lower ranges.
3 plates, which apparently will arrive with a really interesting stock level!
AMD will receive new graphics cards on April 20
Therefore, all of the models mentioned above continue to be based on the RDNA 2 architecture, with an expected hit-the-shelf date of April 20 (or 21). What’s the point of releasing a ‘refresh’ in 2022, when we are already talking so much about the new generation of graphics cards? Well, apparently, this is to prevent NVIDIA from excelling in the area of performance, and Intel in the area of price.
However, it is very likely that the new Radeon RX 6×50 will be significantly more expensive than AMD’s current offering. (We have no idea of the price, as it is currently trending lower.) (Link)
However, regarding AMD’s most powerful card, the RX 6950 XT, it should come with faster GDDR6 memory, as well as an increase in the power cap, now at 350 W, instead of 300 W of the RX 6900 XT. This should mean a very interesting increase in GPU and memory frequencies, on this card and on the other two.
