Xiaomi 12 Ultra will feature a round rear camera module that includes 5x optical zoom
Many rumors are circulating in the web world that Xiaomi has another surprise in store in its high-end series: the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The information published so far points to this model, which bets everything on the optical part, to compete for the title of best smartphone for photography on the market.
Now, new renders of the Xiaomi 12 have emerged which confirm the previously stated design with an unusual rear camera module. On the back of the terminal is a round module that houses four sensors, one of which will have a 5x optical zoom.
Other sensors are rumored to include the primary, of course, plus a wide-angle sensor and even a telephoto one. Apparently Xiaomi will also have chosen not to include an additional screen in this area of the terminal.
Specifications expected on Xiaomi 12 Ultra
As for the specs, several rumors have advanced that Xiaomi will include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus processor in this terminal. But we must be careful with this information, since Qualcomm has not yet unveiled said chip and the Chinese brand could launch this model before, integrating the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, already available on the market.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra is also expected to feature an AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Apparently, this model will also feature Leica optics, the fruit of the partnership between the two brands.
For the rest, it is said to have up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. The terminal will be powered by a robust 5,000 mAh battery with support for fast charging of 120 or 150 watts.
But while waiting for the unveiling of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, the global market will receive the remaining 12 models in the series which are expected to arrive on March 15.
Recently, the information has been revealed on the web and markets outside of China are expected to receive the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X models which will be able to arrive in Europe under the name of Xiaomi 12 Lite.
