Rio Claro has four new cases of dengue fever

The community must take extra care and eliminate breeding grounds.

Rio Claro recorded four new cases of dengue fever this week and, therefore, this year has 20 confirmations of the disease transmitted by Aedes aegypti. The mosquito also transmits chikungunya, zika virus and yellow fever. No cases of these diseases have been reported this year in Rio Claro.

The Municipal Health Foundation warns the population to be extra vigilant in the fight against the transmitting mosquito. Aedes aegypti breeds in calm water. That is why it is essential to eliminate containers and keep the yards always in order, in addition to disposing of the materials correctly.

Preventive actions continue to be carried out by the Zoonoses Control Center throughout the city. The work includes house-to-house visits and inspections at strategic points.
