HMD Global has unveiled the second generation of the Nokia C2, an extremely affordable smartphone with renewed features for 2022. It did so during the opening of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 where it also unveiled the new Nokia C21.
We now have a competitive product with a metal structure and some improvements, although compared to the previous model, the original C2, there are also sacrifices to take into account the price. Will it be worth investing in these cheap products in 2022?
Here is the new Nokia C2 (2022) smartphone
The main improvement over the original model is the use of a metal structure for the smartphone. The increased durability as well as the quality of construction are welcome reinforcements that will make the difference during daily use.
Other features, however, are disappointing. First, the 5.7-inch screen has been upgraded from HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) to 480 x 960 pixels, qHD standard, with the same 18:9 widescreen aspect ratio.
At the same time, the 5 MP front camera has been replaced by a 2 MP sensor (with dedicated front LED flash). On the other hand, the 5 MP camera continues to be present on the back of the Nokia C2 (2022), as well as the LED flash.
Metal frame with more limited specs for 2022
You demotions widespread concerns also extend to the battery capacity of the new Nokia C2 (2022). In fact, we have gone from a capacity of 2800 mAh to 2400 mAh in the new model of this mobile device, while charging at 5 W.
On the other hand, it is one of the few smartphones that still allows the user to remove the battery. To do this, simply remove the back panel and the battery can be changed if necessary.

Android 11 Go Edition platform guides Nokia smartphone software
The new Nokia C2 uses a new processor quad-core at 1.5 GHz (maximum processing frequency). However, we don’t have more information about your chipset (manufacturer and model).

Nokia has also launched new Bluetooth earphones and headsets

Finally, Nokia did not reveal the price of the new smartphone, nor of the new accessories dedicated to audio. This information should be provided by the company in the coming weeks, before it hits the market.
